Rugby Cafe Writers

These are our meeting themes and events for the rest of the year. Members are invited to take part in the themed meetings, and to help represent the group at festivals where we sell our books and promote our activities. All meetings take place at Art at the Alex in James Street, Rugby. If you are interesting in coming along, please contact us by email first.

Future Meetings

All take place at Art at the Alex in James Street, Rugby from 10am to 11.30am. 

Friday October 9th – Fan Fiction. Write something inspired by characters already created. This could be in a television series, a book, a film, a game and so on. 

Friday October 23rd – No normal meeting. This will be a rehearsal and will be only for those taking part in our talks on the Sunday of the Literary Festival. If you are not taking part, you are still welcome to gather in the bar area to chat with other writers.

Friday November 6th – Writing Horror. No title for this, just the genre.

Friday November 20th – Writing Dialogue. ‘I think we’ve met before’

Friday December 4th – Writing Challenge. Write something inspired by the title of a well-known film.

Friday December 18th – Christmas Competition. Details to follow.

Friday January 1st – No meeting.

Friday January 15th – Writing Challenge. ‘A new chapter’
